Senior Software Test Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Senior Software Test Engineer to develop and execute test plans and procedures, ensuring software quality for Veterans Affairs projects in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test procedures for software and IT systems
• Lead testing efforts, document results, and support the analysis and resolution of open issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software meets organizational standards and user requirements

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• 10 or more years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
• Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, or Python
• Experience with both manual and automated testing, including familiarity with test automation frameworks
• Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies and understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
