Senior Software Test Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Senior Software Test Engineer, the candidate will develop and execute test plans and procedures to ensure software quality and performance, working remotely within the Veterans Affairs department.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, cases, and procedures for software and IT systems
• Lead testing efforts, document results, and support the resolution of identified issues
• Provide technical solutions to complex problems and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• 10 or more years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
• Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, or Python
• Experience with both manual and automated testing, including test automation frameworks
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
