Senior Software Test Engineer

Job Summary

To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Senior Software Test Engineer will develop and execute test plans and procedures, ensuring that software systems meet organizational standards while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, cases, and procedures for software and IT systems
• Lead testing efforts, document results, and analyze test outcomes to resolve issues and improve processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality deliverables and adherence to project objectives

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• 10 or more years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
• Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, or Python
• Proficiency in both manual and automated testing, including experience with test automation frameworks
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
