Senior Software Test Engineer

Job Summary

To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Senior Software Test Engineer will develop and execute test plans and procedures, ensuring software quality and compliance with organizational standards while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and procedures for software and IT systems
• Perform manual and automated testing, document results, and support the resolution of identified issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on testing objectives and deliverables

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• 10 or more years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
• Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, or Python
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Proficiency in test automation frameworks and tools, as well as CI/CD tools
