Senior Software Test Engineer

Job Summary

To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time remote Senior Software Test Engineer will develop and execute test plans and procedures, ensuring that software systems meet organizational standards and user requirements while leveraging strong programming skills in languages like C#, Java, or Python.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, cases, and procedures for software and IT systems
• Lead testing efforts and document results, collaborating with project stakeholders to resolve issues
• Utilize test automation frameworks and tools to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• 10 or more years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
• Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, or Python
• Proficiency in both manual and automated testing, including experience with CI/CD tools
• Knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools, as well as experience with defect tracking tools like JIRA
