Senior Software Test Engineer

Job Summary

To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Senior Software Test Engineer will develop and execute test plans and procedures, ensuring software quality through both manual and automated testing in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test procedures to meet organizational standards
• Lead testing efforts for software and IT systems, ensuring proper operation and defect-free performance
• Document test results, communicate findings, and support the analysis and resolution of open issues

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• 10 or more years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
• Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, or Python
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Proficiency in test automation frameworks and tools, as well as continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools
