Senior Software Test Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Senior Software Test Engineer to develop and execute test plans and procedures, ensuring that information systems meet organizational standards, while working remotely within the Veterans Affairs department.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test procedures for various software and IT systems
• Lead testing efforts, document results, and communicate findings to stakeholders to resolve issues and improve processes
• Utilize strong programming skills to support both manual and automated testing across complex software projects

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• 10 or more years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
• Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, or Python
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Proficiency in test automation frameworks and tools, as well as CI/CD tools
