Senior Software Test Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Senior Software Test Engineer for a full-time remote position focused on developing and executing test plans, conducting software tests, and ensuring high-quality deliverables for Veterans Affairs projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, cases, and procedures to meet organizational standards
• Lead testing efforts for software and IT systems, ensuring proper operation and defect-free performance
• Document and communicate test results while supporting the analysis and resolution of identified issues

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• 10 or more years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
• Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, or Python
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Proficiency in writing and executing test cases, scripts, and plans, along with knowledge of test automation frameworks
