Senior Software Test Engineer

Job Summary

To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Senior Software Test Engineer will develop and execute test plans and procedures, ensuring software quality through both manual and automated testing in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test procedures to validate software functionality and performance
• Lead testing efforts, including conducting walkthroughs with project stakeholders and documenting test results and metrics
• Provide technical solutions to complex problems and support the resolution of open issues while contributing to continuous process improvements

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• 10 or more years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
• Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, or Python
• Proficiency in both manual and automated testing, including experience with test automation frameworks and tools
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
