Senior Solar Design Engineer

Job Summary

To support renewable energy initiatives, the full-time Senior Solar Design Engineer will create, review, and manage engineering deliverables for photovoltaic energy generation systems, working remotely while collaborating with project teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review engineering deliverables, including drawings and calculations, for commercial and utility-scale PV projects
• Conduct site assessments and develop energy models to support business development and new product integration
• Maintain project documentation and assist in identifying design risks to facilitate effective decision-making

Required qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
• Ten years of relevant design experience, with a focus on commercial PV design preferred
• Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certificate
• NABCEP certification
• Experience with industry-standard PV systems and energy modeling tools
