Senior Solution Architect

Job Summary

Providing technical leadership and architecture design, the full-time Senior Solution Architect will support the Compensation & Pension Product Line at the Department of Veteran Affairs, guiding cloud-based enterprise systems development in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead system design activities and develop architectural blueprints that align with VA enterprise standards
• Guide cloud-based development efforts and provide technical oversight in a SAFe Agile environment
• Manage architecture documentation and collaborate with VA stakeholders for project alignment and delivery

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in IT project management focused on solution architecture
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and implementing SAFe practices
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture tools and repositories
• Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple priorities while engaging with senior government stakeholders
