Senior Speech Scientist

Job Summary

To design and deliver customer experience solutions, the full-time Senior Speech Scientist will develop and test grammar for speech-enabled IVR applications, serve as a subject matter expert on speech recognition performance, and support sales with proposals and inquiries, all in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and test grammar for speech-enabled IVR applications using Nuance Recognizers
• Act as a subject matter expert for issues related to speech recognition performance
• Assist sales teams with proposals and questions regarding speech recognition technology

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience with Nuance Recognizer, Nuance Dragon Voice, and Nuance SpeechSuite
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl
• Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
• Knowledge of JavaScript/ECMAscript for grammar development and testing
• Strong client interaction skills
