Seeking a full-time Senior SQL Server Database Administrator to manage and support on-premises Microsoft SQL Server environments, ensuring database performance, availability, and security while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade SQL Server 2022 instances across various environments
- Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement performance tuning strategies
- Design and maintain backup strategies, implement high availability solutions, and respond to production incidents
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA in enterprise environments
- Strong experience with SQL Server 2019 and SQL Server 2022 in on-premises settings
- Proven ability to upgrade and migrate legacy SQL Server versions
- Deep knowledge of T-SQL, backup and recovery models, and query optimization
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
