Senior SQL Server DBA

Job Summary

Focused on performance optimization and database tuning, the full-time Senior SQL Server DBA will manage SQL Server environments, diagnose inefficiencies, and guide development teams in building high-performing database solutions while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze, tune, and optimize database performance for SQL Server environments
• Partner with developers to enhance SQL code efficiency and optimize schema design
• Administer SQL Server databases, including user access, backups, and replication

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5-7 years of experience as a DBA with a focus on SQL Server performance tuning
• Expertise in query tuning, indexing strategies, and execution plan interpretation
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
• Strong background in T-SQL and scripting for automation (e.g., PowerShell or Python)
