Senior SQL Server DBA

Job Summary

Owning the health and performance of database environments, the full-time Senior SQL Server DBA will ensure stability and security for SQL Server and MySQL platforms while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Manages end-to-end database health, reliability, and performance through proactive monitoring and maintenance
• Responds to database alerts and escalations, driving root-cause analysis and implementing long-term corrective actions
• Collaborates with engineering teams to support scalable deployments and optimize database performance

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 6+ years of experience supporting SQL Server databases in a production environment
• Strong expertise in database monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
• Experience supporting high-availability and disaster recovery configurations
• Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation
