Senior Staff AI Engineer

Job Summary

As a hands-on builder of SentinelOne's enterprise AI platform, the full-time Senior Staff AI Platform Engineer will design, develop, and maintain core components of the AI Gateway and Harness layers, ensuring secure and scalable AI activities while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Design and operate components of the AI Gateway, including identity management, token budgeting, and audit logging
• Build and maintain the Harness layer, focusing on agent orchestration, prompt management, and model abstraction
• Develop production services in Python and contribute to the React/TypeScript interfaces for internal teams

Required qualifications

• 8 or more years of professional software engineering experience, particularly in AI and ML infrastructure
• Strong Python skills, ideally with FastAPI, and familiarity with React and TypeScript
• Hands-on experience with production services, API gateways, and authentication/authorization mechanisms
• Practical experience with agent orchestration frameworks and hosted model providers like AWS Bedrock or Google Vertex
• Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including clean and tested production-grade code
