Senior Staff Back-End AppSec Engineer

Job Summary

Senior Staff Back-End AppSec Engineer, responsible for leading customer engagements in application security, conducting code reviews, and mentoring engineers in a full-time salaried position.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead customer engagements, scope work, and present technical findings to stakeholders
• Review and validate findings from code scanning pipelines for Python and JavaScript codebases
• Author and maintain SAST rule packs and provide remediation guidance to development teams

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years in application security or product security with a strong software development background
• Expert-level knowledge of Python backend stacks and Node.js/TypeScript
• Experience with custom static-analysis rules for modern SAST engines
• Familiarity with Git-based source control and CI/CD pipelines
• Working knowledge of front-end frameworks and modern authentication infrastructure
