Senior Staff Data Engineer

Job Summary

Operating at the architectural level, the full-time Senior Staff Data Engineer will drive platform-wide technical decisions, own critical data infrastructure across the full data lifecycle, and mentor the engineering team in a remote-eligible environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Drive platform-wide technical decisions and mentor team members
• Own and evolve critical infrastructure across the full data lifecycle, including data ingestion, storage, enrichment, and serving
• Architect and deliver new data platform capabilities from inception to general availability, ensuring alignment with organizational standards

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent work experience
• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, distributed systems, or software engineering with a focus on data infrastructure
• 5+ years of experience specifically on data platform or data systems teams
• Expertise in distributed systems design for data workloads, including streaming, batch, and real-time serving
• Hands-on experience with event streaming platforms and batch processing stacks
