Senior Staff Data Engineer
Job Summary
To support the development of a robust Data Platform infrastructure, the remote Senior Staff Data Engineer will design and improve systems for processing large-scale data, evaluate new technologies, and mentor team members while driving cross-functional projects.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and enhance systems to process data efficiently at a scale of tens of terabytes per day
- Evaluate and implement new technologies while establishing best-practice standards in collaboration with Data Engineering and Data Platform Engineering teams
- Drive cross-functional projects with various stakeholders, including Data Science, Product, and Engineering teams
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Platform Engineering, Data Science, or Data Analyst roles
- Deep expertise in Data Engineering and Data Platform Engineering
- Experience with data tooling in GCP, AWS, or Azure, including Pub/Sub, BigQuery, and Dataflow
- Advanced coding skills in SQL and Python
- Experience in a leadership role, such as tech lead or team lead, within Data Engineering or Data Platform management
