Senior Staff Data Scientist

Job Summary

As the go-to expert on experimentation methodology, the remote Senior Staff Data Scientist will tackle complex experimentation challenges, shape learning from experiments, and influence product strategy through rigorous experimental design and analysis.

Key responsibilities:

• Serve as the technical authority on experimentation methodology, setting standards for design, analysis, and interpretation in a networked environment
• Tackle complex experimentation problems, including spillover effects and long-run effect estimation
• Develop methods for causal inference and design frameworks that ensure accurate measurement of causal impact

Required qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field, or M.S. with equivalent expertise
• For M.S. holders: 12+ years of industry experience; for Ph.D. holders: 8+ years in applied science, data science, or experimentation-focused roles
• Deep expertise in causal inference with practical experience in network interference and complex experimental designs
• Strong theoretical grounding in experimental design, including power analysis and multiple comparison corrections
• Expert knowledge of SQL and proficiency in R and/or Python for statistical computing
