Senior Staff Design Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the design and layout of RFID and Reader ICs, the remote Senior Staff Design Engineer will leverage advanced methodologies to collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring timely and quality tape-outs while mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize Top-Down Bottom-Up floorplan methodology to create and refine IC floorplans in collaboration with design teams
• Coordinate layout activities with program managers and cross-functional teams to meet project schedules and quality standards
• Conduct layout reviews and perform detailed transistor-level layout for RF and mixed-signal circuit blocks

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer or electrical engineering or a related technical field, with 12+ years of relevant experience
• Experience in custom analog, RF, and mixed-signal layout, leading complex ICs from conception to tapeout
• Expertise in full-chip/SOC-level floorplanning and integration, including DRC/LVS verification
• Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and advanced process nodes down to 16nm
• Proficiency in Cadence Virtuoso and layout verification tools, with strong technical project management skills
