Senior Staff Engineer
Job Summary
Owning the technical health and direction of the engineering organization, the full-time Senior Staff Engineer & AI Innovation Lead will set technical standards, drive AI-enabled development practices, and co-lead client projects while working remotely within the United States.
Key responsibilities
- Own the technical health and direction of SmartLogic's engineering organization, setting standards and driving necessary changes
- Lead company-wide AI adoption by developing a documented AI skill enhancement strategy and coaching the team on effective AI usage
- Co-lead delivery projects with Project Managers to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in modern software development practices and technologies, including technical leadership
- 7+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails, Elixir, and Phoenix; experience with Flutter and/or React Native is preferred
- 5+ years of experience with DevOps practices including CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code
- Advanced experience using AI-assisted development tools in production environments
- Experience in a consultancy setting, with a track record of coaching engineers and establishing technical standards
