Job Summary

Owning the design and delivery of core Agent Services, the full-time Senior Staff Engineer, California will manage technical specifications, lead cross-functional efforts, and ensure production readiness in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of core Agent Services, ensuring full technical ownership from design to production
• Identify and resolve ambiguities in technical efforts while mentoring engineers on distributed systems and Postgres internals
• Define service-level objectives and ensure components meet customer commitments on performance and availability

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in building and operating large-scale distributed systems or cloud data infrastructure
• Solid knowledge of Postgres, including query planning, execution, and replication
• Strong systems programming experience in C or C++, with proficiency in a higher-level language like Go, Ruby, or Python
• Experience in building high-availability, multi-tenant data systems in cloud environments
• BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience
