Senior Staff Engineer, Network Modeling

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Senior Staff Engineer, Network Modeling to work remotely and contribute to the design, development, and operation of a highly scalable unified network model that enhances network reliability and customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the design and development of software to model network entities and relationships within Equinix's global network
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify network data and use cases that enhance the unified network model for critical business solutions
• Lead discussions to align on software requirements and ensure integration of the unified network model with other initiatives

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience developing distributed, scalable software services using Golang
• Experience in SaaS, PaaS, or cloud-based environments with a focus on designing production-ready microservices
• Proficient in data management technologies such as GCP Spanner, MongoDB, and Redis
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools, including Docker and Kubernetes
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field
