Senior Staff Engineer, SRE/DevOps

Job Summary

To support the development of a unified network model, the full-time Senior Staff Engineer, SRE/DevOps will design, develop, and operate scalable software solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop reliable services to model network entities and relationships within Equinix's global network
• Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance the unified network model, addressing critical business problems related to network reliability and visibility
• Lead discussions on software requirements and design trade-offs, ensuring integration of the unified network model with other initiatives

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in developing distributed, scalable software services using Golang
• Experience in SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, or cloud-based environments with a focus on production readiness
• Proficiency in data management systems such as GCP Spanner, MongoDB, and Redis
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field
