Senior Staff IAM Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the identity architecture across various identity types, the full-time Senior Staff IAM Engineer will design and govern identity solutions, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and SOC 2 requirements while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain the target-state identity architecture for workforce, non-employee, customer, partner, non-human, and AI agent identities
• Oversee the end-to-end architecture of the Auth0 customer identity platform, including MFA and machine-to-machine authentication
• Design and implement access controls and identity threat detection that align with compliance requirements and reduce manual overhead

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in identity and access management or security engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior or architect role
• Hands-on experience with customer identity platforms, particularly Auth0, including tenant modeling and MFA
• Strong knowledge of federation and authentication protocols: SAML, OIDC, OAuth 2.0, SCIM, WebAuthn, and FIDO2
• Experience with enterprise workforce IdP architecture, specifically Okta or similar platforms
• Proven ability to influence architectural direction and adoption among engineering teams without direct authority
