Senior Staff Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

As the principal technical authority, the full-time Senior Staff Mechanical Engineer will oversee the mechanical design and thermodynamic configuration of utility-scale power generation assets and midstream gas transmission infrastructure, ensuring compliance with codes and standards while optimizing system performance in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the thermodynamic design and configuration of Combined Cycle Power Plants and heavy CHP installations
• Direct the mechanical layout, material selection, and advanced stress analysis for high-energy piping systems
• Serve as the final technical reviewer for large-scale utility systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• 12 years of deep technical design experience within power generation utilities or midstream gas transmission infrastructure
• 12 years of engineering experience with aeroderivative and gas turbines, multi-stage steam turbines, and Heat Recovery Steam Generators
• 12 years of experience designing natural gas pipelines
• Ability to utilize on-site Power Generation Design and Commissioning
