Senior Staff Platform Architect

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Sr. Staff Platform Architect to lead the development of an Internal Developer Platform and Event Mesh.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and deploy a secure, multi-tenant AWS foundation utilizing EKS and MSK
• Establish zero-touch GitOps deployment pipelines and enforce Infrastructure-as-Code through Terraform
• Implement automated architectural and security governance using Policy-as-Code within CI/CD pipelines

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years in Cloud Infrastructure, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Platform Engineering
• Deep expertise in AWS, specifically EKS and MSK (or enterprise Apache Kafka)
• Advanced proficiency in Terraform and GitOps methodologies (ArgoCD or Flux)
• Experience with Policy-as-Code (OPA, Checkov, or Kyverno)
• Strong understanding of event-driven architectures and schema registries (Avro/Protobuf)
