Senior Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Staff Software Java Engineer (DME).

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support functionality in various components including ReSTful web services and telemetry gathering
• Optimize existing code for performance, stability, and usability while developing software confidence through best practices
• Collaborate with Software Architects and Product Management to enhance product features and participate in peer code reviews

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of related experience with a BS in Computer Science or equivalent; or 6+ years with a Master's degree; or 3+ years with a PhD
• Strong skills in C, Java 8, Spring, and Python
• Experience designing enterprise applications and working with concurrency
• Understanding of software development processes, including OOAD and unit testing
• Familiarity with source control management systems such as Git and Linux
