Senior Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Staff Software Engineer (SM).

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support various components including command line interfaces and RESTful web services
• Collaborate with Product Management on design, documentation, development tests, and feature enhancements
• Optimize existing code and participate in peer code reviews, ensuring software reliability and performance

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in Java 8 or higher, Spring, and JPA
• Experience with enterprise application design and debugging in distributed environments
• Understanding of software development processes, including OOAD and unit testing
• 8+ years of related experience with a BS in Computer Science or equivalent, or 6+ years with an MS, or 3+ years with a PhD
• Working knowledge of source control systems like Git and familiarity with Linux
