Senior Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

Building and evolving a robust data platform, the full-time remote Senior Staff Software Engineer will design and implement abstractions, manage live system performance, and contribute to the technical direction of the infrastructure that supports data and machine learning operations.

Key responsibilities

• Designing and implementing new abstractions and tooling for the data platform
• Improving the reliability and performance of existing systems while ensuring minimal disruption to dependent teams
• Leading major platform transitions and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align on technical direction

Required qualifications

• Extensive experience building data platforms, with a focus on lakehouse architecture
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with Go or Java in a production data-platform context
• Demonstrated ability to evolve live infrastructure and improve developer experience
• Experience leading major platform transitions from design to delivery
• Ability to influence and build alignment across technical teams through effective communication
