Senior Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to work remotely in a full-time capacity, who will manage two mid-level engineers while leading technical direction, architecture decisions, and advancing AI-native engineering practices across the platform.

Key responsibilities

• Set technical direction and shape architecture decisions across multiple domains, producing necessary documentation for team execution
• Act as a senior technical authority for security and compliance, driving quality and effective execution while mentoring less experienced engineers
• Lead the design and adoption of AI-native engineering workflows, coaching engineers on effective collaboration with AI systems

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong track record in senior IC roles
• Experience with modern web application stacks, including Ruby on Rails, React, and AWS
• Practical experience in security and compliance work within a SaaS environment
• Hands-on experience with AI-enabled development tools and agentic engineering approaches
• Proven ability to lead through influence and communicate complex technical ideas effectively
