Senior Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the technical strategy for the Modeling ML Serving API interface across the Host Pricing organization, the full-time Senior Staff Software Engineer will design architecture, lead the buildout of a unified serving stack, and establish domain contracts while working remotely in the USA.

Key responsibilities

• Define the architecture and contracts for model deployment, ensuring consistency in feature store design and multi-version support
• Lead the development of a unified serving stack that streamlines the transition from training to production for data scientists
• Architect backfill and evaluation infrastructure to enable rapid simulation of production inference over historical data

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in backend or platform engineering, particularly in building production ML systems
• Strong programming skills in Java, Kotlin, Scala, and/or Python
• Deep understanding of ML systems design, including feature stores and model versioning
• Experience with high-scale batch and real-time data pipelines, such as Spark or Kafka
• Proven ability to lead cross-team technical initiatives in ML and platform engineering
