Senior Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

Driving the technical vision and delivery of risk platform services, the full-time Senior Staff Software Engineer will architect core risk and onboarding systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote-eligible role.

Key responsibilities:

• Architect and own core risk and onboarding platform services, ensuring high performance under strict latency and reliability requirements
• Define and deliver a technical roadmap for risk and access control infrastructure, implementing Zero Trust principles and role-based access controls
• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex cross-functional risk and onboarding initiatives, coordinating across engineering, compliance, and legal teams

Required qualifications:

• 12+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on risk, fraud, identity, or security platform systems in fintech or financial services
• Expertise in designing distributed, high-availability systems in Java or a comparable JVM language
• Hands-on experience with access control systems, including RBAC and privileged access management in large-scale SaaS or cloud environments
• Experience deploying applications in AWS with knowledge of cloud security controls and infrastructure hardening practices
• Demonstrated track record of leading large technical initiatives across engineering and compliance in high-growth environments
