Senior Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

Setting the technical direction for the NHI Governance domain, the full-time Senior Staff Software Development Engineer will own architecture, drive complex technical initiatives, and establish standards for integration with shared platform services while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Drive technical direction and architecture across the NHI Governance domain and its integration with shared platform services
• Own complex, high-risk technical initiatives from problem identification to delivered systems
• Mentor staff and senior engineers, raising the technical standards and improving organizational building practices

Required qualifications

• Deep expertise in architecting and delivering large-scale, distributed, cloud-native systems
• Expert programming skills in C#, Go, TypeScript, Java, or other modern languages
• Hands-on experience with AWS, including designing and operating production applications at scale
• Strong understanding of CI/CD and experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Experience designing multi-tenant shared services consumed by other engineering teams
