Senior Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

As the founding engineer for Finance Automation in a full-time capacity, the Senior Staff Software Engineer will architect an AI-native platform to transform financial planning and resource allocation while collaborating with FP&A and Treasury leadership in a remote-first environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the design and delivery of AI agents that automate high-volume finance workflows, including period-end close and regulatory filings
• Architect a governed agent platform with compliance measures and human-in-the-loop controls to meet SOX audit requirements
• Build integrations with core financial systems, designing data pipelines for multi-GAAP reporting and ensuring traceability of agent actions

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of backend software engineering experience with production systems at scale
• Proven track record deploying LLM-based applications with evaluation frameworks and human-in-the-loop design
• Experience in multi-agent orchestration and collaboration systems
• Financial systems literacy, including ERP data flows and reconciliation logic
• Demonstrated success setting technical direction autonomously in non-engineering organizations
