Senior Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the architecture of the self-hosted Endpoint Protection platform, the full-time Senior Staff Software Engineer will lead the design and implementation of backend services and deployment topologies while ensuring high availability and scalability in customer-controlled environments, working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve the architecture of the self-hosted platform, implementing improvements to backend services and deployment topologies
• Set standards for high availability and resilience in customer deployments, including clustering, replication, and failover strategies
• Define scalability and capacity-planning strategies while leading cross-team technical initiatives and mentoring engineers

Required qualifications

• A degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience, with approximately 8+ years of relevant experience
• Extensive experience designing and delivering on-prem software and managing customer-controlled deployments
• Proven expertise in architecting distributed systems for high availability and fault tolerance
• Strong command of scalability and performance in on-prem deployments, including load balancing and capacity planning
• Ability to translate complex requirements into robust designs and experience influencing engineering roadmaps
