Senior Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

To lead the technical future of Convert, the full-time Senior Staff Software Engineer will set the long-term vision for backend systems, architect high-throughput distributed systems, and mentor engineering teams in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Set the technical vision and architecture for backend systems supporting experimentation and conversion optimization
• Architect and evolve distributed systems and APIs to handle large volumes of data with high availability and low latency
• Lead complex technical initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement scalable solutions

Required qualifications

• BS/BA degree or equivalent relevant experience
• 12+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on backend and distributed systems
• Strong proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go
• Experience designing and operating high-throughput, data-intensive distributed systems in production
• Demonstrated technical leadership across cross-pillar initiatives and effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders
