Senior Staff Technical Product Owner
Job Summary
Owning the product direction for the FinOps Data Platform and Engineering, the full-time Senior Staff Technical Product Owner will manage the product vision and roadmap for data lake and ELT pipeline capabilities, ensuring alignment with engineering teams and driving adoption in a flexible or remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Own the product vision and roadmap for ELT pipelines and platform services, establishing SLAs and prioritizing features based on user feedback
- Translate requirements from stakeholders into actionable engineering specifications, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with data governance policies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage the migration from Cloudera to a modern lakehouse architecture, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder alignment
Required qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in technical product ownership, product management, or technical program management, particularly in data platforms or engineering
- Strong working fluency with data engineering and platform engineering concepts, including ELT pipelines, data lake architecture, and distributed query engines
- Proven ability to translate ambiguous requirements into concrete engineering specifications and prioritize effectively across multiple stakeholder groups
- Experience advocating for developer experience improvements and managing stakeholder relationships across technical and non-technical audiences
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; or equivalent experience with advanced degrees considered
