Senior Statistician

Job Summary

To support drug development decisions, the remote full-time Senior Statistician will independently lead preclinical statistical design and analysis, focusing on study design, power analysis, and exploratory data analysis while collaborating closely with R&D scientists.

Key responsibilities

• Independently lead statistical design and analysis for preclinical studies, including dose-response and mortality projection modeling
• Conduct exploratory analyses to support endpoint development and target/pathway discovery, critically evaluating data and methodologies
• Serve as the statistical point of contact for preclinical studies and cross-functional R&D projects, coordinating with scientists and program leads

Required qualifications

• MS or PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, Pharmacometrics, or a related field
• 8+ years of relevant statistical experience with a strong track record in preclinical or translational statistics
• Hands-on experience with population PK/PD modeling using tools such as WinNonLin or NONMEM
• Proficiency in R and/or Python, including experience with Rmarkdown/Quarto or Jupyter for reproducible reporting
• Demonstrated ability to conduct exploratory, hypothesis-generating analyses and navigate ambiguous data
