Senior Statutory Accountant

Job Summary

To support financial operations, the full-time Senior Statutory Accountant will prepare financial statements, manage audit requirements, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations while working remotely on a temp-to-hire basis.

Key responsibilities

• Prepares financial statements and manages audit requirements, account reconciliation, and policy accounting
• Researches applicable regulations for special situations and compliance
• Collaborates on regulatory and tax reporting while reviewing financial statements for completeness and accuracy

Required qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of increasingly responsible experience, preferably in financial services or insurance
• Strong statutory accounting experience
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of learning proprietary software
