Senior Storage and Data Engineer

Job Summary

Leading enterprise-scale storage and data migrations to AWS, Azure, and Rackspace, the full-time Senior Storage and Data Engineer will plan, execute, and validate migration activities while ensuring long-term storage operations and compliance across hybrid cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the planning and execution of large-scale storage migrations with minimal downtime
• Oversee long-term operations of storage in Rackspace private cloud and ensure optimal performance and resilience
• Serve as the operational owner for backup strategies across hybrid cloud workloads, ensuring data integrity and compliance

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Extensive experience with enterprise storage migrations using tools like DataSync and SnapMirror
• Strong operational experience with Rackspace private cloud and various storage technologies including NetApp and Dell
• Proficiency in AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, and cloud storage services
• Experience in designing disaster recovery patterns for large storage environments
