Senior Structural Analyst

Job Summary

To support a dedicated team, the contract Senior Structural Analyst will perform mechanical analyses of reactor structures and components, ensuring compliance with structural codes while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical analyses of reactor structures and systems to verify performance within defined limits
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize nuclear component designs
• Maintain documentation of analysis results and mentor team members to enhance skills

Required qualifications

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, Nuclear, or Civil Engineering
• 8+ years of experience with a B.S., 5+ years with an M.S., or 3+ years with a Ph.D
• Proficient in finite element stress analysis and tools such as ANSYS and SolidWorks
• Strong understanding of solid mechanics, fracture mechanics, and fatigue failure
• Experience with pressure equipment design codes like ASME BPVC and seismic analysis techniques
