Senior Structural Analyst

Job Summary

To support critical nuclear projects, the contract Senior Structural Analyst will perform mechanical analyses of reactor structures and components, ensuring compliance with industry standards while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct mechanical analyses of reactor structures and systems to verify performance within defined limits
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary engineering team to optimize nuclear component designs
• Maintain documentation of analysis results and perform peer reviews to uphold quality standards

Required qualifications

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Mechanical, Aerospace, Nuclear, or Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
• 8+ years of experience with a B.S. degree, 5+ years with an M.S. degree, or 3+ years with a Ph.D. degree
• Proficiency in finite element stress analysis and mechanical modeling tools, particularly ANSYS and SolidWorks
• Strong understanding of solid mechanics, fracture mechanics, and relevant pressure equipment design codes
• Experience in seismic analysis of equipment, including response spectrum and time history modeling techniques
