Senior Structural Analyst

Job Summary

To support high-stakes nuclear projects, the contract Senior Structural Analyst will analyze mechanical performance of reactor components and systems, ensuring compliance with structural codes and standards while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical analyses of reactor structures and nuclear components to verify compliance with relevant codes and standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary engineering teams to optimize nuclear component designs
• Document analysis results, conduct peer reviews, and mentor team members to enhance team skills and quality standards

Required qualifications

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited university
• 8+ years of experience with a B.S. degree, 5+ years with an M.S. degree, or 3+ years with a Ph.D. degree
• Proficient in finite element analysis and modeling tools, particularly ANSYS and SolidWorks
• Strong understanding of solid mechanics, fracture mechanics, and relevant pressure equipment design codes
• Experience in seismic analysis and familiarity with quality assurance requirements in the nuclear industry
