Senior Structural Analyst

Job Summary

To support critical nuclear projects, the contract Senior Structural Analyst will perform mechanical analyses of reactor structures and components, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and maintain documentation of analysis results while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical analyses of reactor structures to ensure compliance with structural and pressure equipment codes
• Collaborate with engineers to optimize nuclear component designs and maintain documents of analysis results
• Mentor team members and assist management in maintaining quality standards through peer reviews

Required qualifications

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Mechanical, Aerospace, Nuclear, or Civil Engineering from an accredited university
• 8+ years of experience with a B.S. degree, 5+ years with an M.S. degree, or 3+ years with a Ph.D. degree
• Proficiency in finite element stress analysis and commercial tools such as ANSYS and SolidWorks
• Strong understanding of solid mechanics, fracture mechanics, and pressure equipment design codes like ASME
• Experience in seismic analysis of equipment or components and familiarity with quality assurance requirements
