Senior Structural Analyst

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Senior Structural Analyst will analyze the mechanical performance of reactor enclosure components and systems, ensuring compliance with structural codes and standards while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical analyses of reactor structures and components to verify performance within defined limits
• Collaborate with engineers to optimize nuclear component designs based on functional and quality requirements
• Establish and maintain documentation of analysis results and design solutions while mentoring team members

Required qualifications

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or related fields
• 8+ years of experience with a B.S. degree, 5+ years with an M.S. degree, or 3+ years with a Ph.D. degree
• Proficiency in finite element stress analysis and tools such as ANSYS and SolidWorks
• Experience with pressure equipment design codes and standards, particularly ASME BPVC
• Demonstrated experience in mechanical analysis, including structural and thermal analysis
