Senior Structural Analyst

Job Summary

To support the design and development of advanced nuclear reactor technologies, the remote contract Senior Structural Analyst will perform structural and finite element analyses (FEA) of reactor vessels and components, ensuring compliance with engineering codes and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural and mechanical analyses of reactor systems and components
• Conduct finite element analyses (FEA) to evaluate structural integrity under various loading conditions
• Collaborate with engineers to optimize component designs for safety and performance

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Nuclear, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline
• 8+ years of structural analysis experience or equivalent advanced degree and experience
• Strong background in finite element analysis (FEA) using ANSYS
• Experience with pressure vessel and piping codes including ASME Section III and VIII
• Thorough understanding of structural mechanics, stress analysis, and fracture mechanics
