Senior Structural Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer for a remote, contract opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed design, analysis, and documentation for structural supports in nuclear facilities
• Develop and maintain design specifications and qualification reports in compliance with nuclear codes
• Collaborate with engineering teams and interface with quality assurance and regulatory bodies

Required Qualifications

• B.S. degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
• Minimum of eight years of relevant design experience (advanced degrees may reduce this requirement)
• Experience in design for manufacturability and assembly
• Deep understanding of structural and seismic design
• Experience with finite element stress analysis and ANSYS
