Senior Structural Steel Detailer

Job Summary

Leading the production of high-quality structural steel fabrication drawings, the full-time Senior Structural Steel Detailer will work remotely to manage Tekla modeling and detailing for complex projects while collaborating with engineers and project managers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Tekla modeling and detailing for complex projects, ensuring deliverables meet fabrication and erection requirements
• Develop detailed 3D models and fabrication drawings, interpreting structural and architectural drawings and specifications
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure accuracy, manage revisions, and resolve design and fabrication issues

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Tekla Detailer (structural steel) with leadership experience
• Advanced proficiency in Tekla Structures and strong knowledge of AISC codes and industry standards
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and perform clash detection and coordination
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
